The story of KALLISTA begins with two European visionaries— Anthony Pontin and Norman Bell—who had the idea to break white and-chrome convention by offering plumbing products of superior design, style, and functionality. With that, KALLISTA was founded.
THE STARTING POINT
Early success can be attributed to Pontin and Bell's unwavering commitment to "the best." Meaning, only the most skilled craftsmen were represented by KALLISTA. And with its first showroom in San Francisco, a reputation for custom finishes and materials grew. Eventually, its product innovations would revolutionize bath design as it was universally known.
A GROWING PORTFOLIO
Founded in 1979 and acquired by Kohler Co. in the late 1980s, KALLISTA and its diverse luxury portfolio began to flourish. Instant icons like the solid copper Archeo® tub and the cast iron Circe™ tub symbolized the brand’s timeless appeal. KALLISTA gained even more prominence by collaborating with independent artists and luxury brands for exclusive collections.
